Kelly Johnson, DrPH, MPH, is a postdoctoral research fellow with the Health Equity Institute at San Francisco State University. Her current research focuses on minority stress, resilience, and social support among trans and non-binary adolescents. She coordinates the San Francisco site of Project AFFIRM, an NICHD-funded longitudinal, multi-site study of transgender identity development across the lifespan. Kelly has also worked on numerous HIV surveillance and malaria elimination projects targeting vulnerable populations in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
