Lailani Muniz is focused on HIV and AIDS Prevention in Black Trans Communities. She utilizes her advocacy platform to improve the health of trans women in the state of New York by spreading awareness of living with HIV. She participates on the Community Advisory Council for the AIDS Institute, is an active member of the End the Epidemic Council for the Upper Manhattan Region, and is a spokes model on two campaigns, which spread awareness of what it is to live with HIV. She was crowned Miss Black Trans NY in 2017.
