Kysa McSky was born and raised in Ashland, Oregon and attended NYU where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience. Kysa is currently in her third year of medical school at OHSU. Since being in medical school she has been lead of several student interest groups including Students for LGBTQ Health, the Global and Urban Underserved College, and the Emergency Medicine Interest Group. Kysa plans on pursuing an emergency medicine residency and is interested in how to make emergency departments a safer and more affirming place to trans and gender non-conforming patients.
