Jerel Ezell is a mixed methods researcher at the University of Chicago Department of Medicine who is also currently enrolled in the doctoral program in sociology at the University of Chicago. He is a graduate of Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health (M.P.H.). Jerel is very passionate about human rights, social determinants of health, and stigma, with a specific focus on using research to engage and characterize hard-to-reach populations and implementing trauma-informed practices to address risky social and sexual behaviors.
