This presentation describes the rapid implementation of an evidence-informed intervention for transgender women of color living with HIV, Transgender Women Engagement and Entry to Care (TWEET). Attendees will learn the intervention’s core elements, designed to increase linkage, engagement and retention into HIV care. One of three geographically-diverse HIV service organizations will describe best practices for adopting, recruiting for, and implementing this intervention.

 

Learning Objectives:

• Upon completion, participants will be able to identify peer leaders and describe the process of training them, according to the TWEET program curricula.
• Upon completion, participants will be able to identify TWEET core elements that includes techniques employed to increase participants’ linkage, engagement, and retention in care.
• Upon completion, participants will have learned how to conduct a Peer-led Teach Back session, using the techniques modelled by the presenters.
