In this workshop we will share our process to build a bold vision for the future of our healthcare access work and help workshop attendees build their own plans to create visions for their communities. So often our policy, advocacy and direct service work is reactive to a broken system or potentially devastating policies. Our work to create a vision for healthcare access for transgender and diverse communities acts to counteract that and centers on a proactive vision for healthcare access that is driven by those most impacted.
We will share top level results from our survey, our organizing process and framework we used while supporting workshop participants to build their own frameworks for driving their healthcare access work. Workshop participants can take this model to their communities to build a healthcare system that helps transgender and gender diverse people feel at home in their bodies.
