The current political moment – with a spike in intolerance and violence against those ‘other’ – has been especially taxing for TGNC providers working with TGNB communities. This reached crisis with the memo threatening to ‘define trans into nonexistence.’

How do we address our own reactions while providing care? This is a loosely structured discussion to have solidarity without self-censorship.

 

Learning Objectives:

• Upon completion, participants will be able to demonstrate improved awareness of their own countertransferential reactions when working with TGNB identified clients.
• Upon completion, participants will be able to apply skills learned from others to aid in their selfcare.
• Upon completion, participants will be able to provide more ethical and sensitive care in their work with TGNB clients.
