This will be an educational talk on how Medicare reimbursement rates are set, the meanings of the various acronyms that are tossed around (HOPPS, MPPS, etc.), and also a comparison of Medicare rates for the different cardiac imaging modalities. Included will be information on how cost reporting impacts the reimbursement rate, and what steps people can take with their hospitals to affect this positively.
