I lead a large cardiovascular research group in Leeds with a focus on cardiovascular imaging. The work of my group cuts across basic science, clinical feasibility studies and large clinical trials. We have access to state of the art translational imaging facilities for basic cardiovascular research and clinical studies. Methods we actively develop include:
• Quantitative myocardial perfusion
• 4D flow
• Cardiac Diffusion Tensor Imaging
• MR Spectroscopy
• Parametric mapping
Our main research areas include:
• Ischaemic heart disease (acute and chronic)
• Heart failure
• Cardio-metabolic disease
• Congenital heart disease
