We will treat this session as a workshop where you will learn how to help create an Emergency Evacuation Plan tailored to the people we serve and support. This workshop will give you tools to help people with special needs make plans in advance of an emergency so they are ready to evacuate if needed. Will share the example of a preparedness workshops, including a series of readiness checklists and a sample "go" kit.
In addition, we will discuss just how to collaborate with your area agencies to come together and create workshop presentations. This effort really takes a village of experts in their field coming together with the common goal of saving lives. The recent tragic "Camp Fire" in California has shown us the importance of being better prepared for any emergency or disaster.
