Susan S. McDonald graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and a Master of Arts degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. She received her Doctorate of Education degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. After working as an occupational therapist with children in Huntsville, Alabama she started teaching Occupational Therapy at UTC in 2000. She has over 30 years of experience and is currently the Founding Program Director of the Occupational Therapy Doctoral program at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is the Past President of the Alabama Occupational Therapy Association and past Board Member of the Alabama State Board of Occupational Therapy.
