I am an occupational therapist (OT) since 1992. The first ten years after my graduation I was employed in a rehabilitation hospital in Switzerland where I attended specialization in neurological rehabilitation and became the head of the Department of Occupational Therapy. In 2000 I started teaching OT students and in 2004 I became a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI). At the same time, I opened my own OT practice where I ‘m applying community-based rehabilitation. In 2013, I gained an MSc in Occupational Therapy and started to collaborate with different research projects (assistive technology, ergonomics, and environmental factors). Now I am a researcher at the 2rLab – Rehabilitation Research Lab (SUPSI) and Ph.D. student at the University of Lucerne. My research topics are fatigue management, self-management, and behavior change in persons with chronic diseases related fatigue.
