Dr. Susan Perkins is a Professor of Biostatistics in the Indiana University School of Medicine. She has been collaborating on studies related to traumatic brain injury for over 6 years. She is currently the faculty statistician for a TBI clinical trial within the Brain Research Aggression and Irritability Network (BRAIN) funded by a TBI Model Systems Grant, National Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research, Department of Education (Director and Co-Director: Drs. F. Hammond and D. Neumann), and also a co-investigator on a second TBI Model Systems Grant (PI and Co-PI: Drs. F. Hammond and D. Neumann). She is also faculty statistician on Dr. Neumann’s NIDRR-funded completed trial “Examining Determinants of Negative Attribution Bias in People with Traumatic Brain Injury” and her current NICHD-funded study “Intervention to Change Attributions That are Negative (ICAN): A New Approach to Reducing Anger and Aggression After Brain Injury”.
