As a physical therapist and clinician-scientist, my career passion is to help others return to safe and physically active lifestyles after musculoskeletal or neurologic injuries. My focused areas of scholarship include physical therapy interventions for concussion-related impairments and health/rehabilitation services research (HSR). I believe strongly that transformative, positive change in health care necessitates team pursuit of initiatives and creative, interdisciplinary partnerships with complementary goals and expertise. As a result, the research and scholarship endeavors that I lead are designed to be team-oriented approaches. When I embark on or agree to take on new projects, my primary motivation is direct impact to improve patient outcomes and close health system gaps. I am diversely trained in a variety of methodological techniques and mindful of the entire research, knowledge translation, and implementation continuum. I seek to lead and participate on projects that can have translational and transformative impact on the health care system and patient outcomes.
