Olga Garduño-Ortega, B.A. is a Research Coordinator in the Rusk Rehabilitation Research Department. She joined the team in July 2018 to work on the TBIMS study and a site-specific, community-based participatory research project to characterize TBI as a chronic condition in diverse communities in New York City. Ms. Garduño-Ortega received her B.A. from Barnard College at Columbia University in Psychology and Art History. She has experience in public health, oncology, and psychology research that aims to address health disparities, knowledge gaps, and healthcare access. As a first-generation Latina immigrant and first-generation college student, Ms. Garduño-Ortega is passionate about reducing barriers to health education and high-quality healthcare in underserved and immigrant communities.
