Tamara Bushnik, PhD, FACRM is an Associate Professor at NYULMC and Director of Inter-Hospital Research and Knowledge Translation at Rusk Rehabilitation. Dr. Bushnik is the Project Director of the current RRTBIMS at NYU. She is the past co-Project Director of the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center TBIMS (1999-2009). She has over 60 peer-reviewed manuscripts since joining the TBIMS. Dr. Bushnik has been the Chair of the TBIMS Knowledge Translation Committee since 1999 and has led the selection of topics for the popular TBI Fact Sheets and end-of-grant-cycle special issues/sections highlighting TBIMS research. She has been the Chair of the last three Federal Interagency Conferences on TBI. She has been a member of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) for over twelve years. She was the President of ACRM from 2011-2013 and was awarded the Fellow of ACRM in 2009 and the Distinguished Member award in 2008. She was a member of the Outcomes Taskforce for the development of the TBI Common Data Elements initiative funded by NIDILRR, DoD, and NIH among others.
