Guillaume Léonard received a B.Sc. degree in Physiotherapy (2004 - University of Ottawa), a M.Sc. degree in Human Kinetics (2006 - University of Ottawa) and Ph.D. degree in Clinical Sciences (2010 - Université de Sherbrooke). He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Physiotherapy from 2010 to 2012 (Université Laval). He is now associate professor at the School of rehabilitation of the Université de Sherbrooke and researcher at the Research Center on Aging of the CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS. His work aims at improving the assessment and treatment of pain in elderly patients. As a physiotherapist, he is particularly interested in the potential of neurostimulation techniques as therapeutic alternatives to reduce pain and to maximise physical functioning in the elderly.
