Rina S. Fox, PhD, MPH, is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She earned a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the San Diego State University/University of California, San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology, as well as an MPH in epidemiology from the San Diego State University Graduate School of Public Health. Her recent work has focused on how psychosocial processes impact adjustment to and coping with chronic illness. Previously she received considerable training in psychometrics, focused on cross-validation of patient-reported outcome measures across different languages and populations, measure translation, and measure development. Her current work is focused on exploring implementation of NIH Toolbox, and optimization of health care delivery in diverse populations through improved assessment and intervention.
