Megan E. Cuellar, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is an Associate Professor in Speech-Language Pathology at Midwestern University. She teaches courses in neuroanatomy, dysphagia, and motor speech disorders. Dr. Cuellar's research aims to understand the role of cortical sensorimotor integration during speech and swallowing. Dr. Cuellar is also interested in understanding how sensorimotor integration may facilitate higher order cognitive and language processing. The long term goal of Dr. Cuellar's research is to develop more effective assessment and treatment methods for individuals with cognitive-communication and swallowing impairments.
