Melike Kahya, PT, MS is currently a PhD student in Rehabilitation Science program at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She received her bachelor’s degree from Istanbul University in Physical Therapy and her master’s from the University of Pittsburgh in Neuromuscular Physical Therapy. Her research interest is neurorehabilitation of individuals with neurodegenerative disease and decreasing risk of falls for these individuals. She is currently an NIH T32 trainee in Kansas University Neurological and Rehabilitation Sciences Training Program. Also, she is an awardee of Mabel A. Woodyard Fellowship in Neurological Conditions. She is an active member of American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) and serving as Communications Officer at the ACRM Neurodegenerative Disease Networking Group.
