Rosemary Gallagher is Associate Professor at New York Institute of Technology’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. She graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Physical Education (1983), from Stony Brook University with a B.S. in Physical Therapy (1989) and a Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy (2008). She graduated with her Ph.D. in Health Sciences from Rutgers University with a concentration in Rehabilitation and Movement Science (2017). Her research interests include biomechanics using motion capture technology, cognition and balance in Parkinson’s disease, and falls and balance in older adults. She has presented her work at national and international conferences. She is an APTA Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist, a Parkinson's Foundation Physical Therapy Faculty Scholar, and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, with over 25 years of clinical experience with a variety of patient populations.
