Miriam Carroll-Alfano is a speech-language pathologist and researcher with nearly 20 years of experience working in medical speech-language pathology in hospital, acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and outpatient settings. She works with patients with a variety of disorders including aphasia, motor speech disorders, cognitive-communication disorders, head and neck cancer and dysphagia. She teaches speech-language pathology graduate students and provides concussion education to collegiate athletes. She has presented to professionals, young athletes, and parents on the topic. Her research interests include traumatic brain injury, concussion, and head and neck cancer.
