Dr. Grace J Kim is currently an assistant professor in the department of Occupational Therapy at New York University. Dr. Kim is interested in facilitating recovery for clients with disability after stroke. She has extensive clinical experience working with adults with physical disabilities in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation hospital settings. She was a clinical researcher in the Rehabilitation Medicine department at Weill Cornell Medical Center for nine years and gained expertise on upper extremity robotics technologies for the neurological population. She received her PhD in Occupational Therapy from New York University. Her research has focused on multiple facets of stroke rehabilitation including upper extremity outcome measurement, the use of innovative rehabilitation and assessment technologies, and cognitive-behavioral factors related to client engagement. She teaches courses in Neurorehabilitation, Evidence-based practice, Ethics & Analytic Reasoning and serves as a research mentor for masters and doctoral level students.
