Student Physical Therapist
T. Mitchell Wiseman is currently a second year Doctorate of Physical Therapy student at Bellarmine University. He attended undergraduate school at Bellarmine as well, where he played collegiate soccer. During his time in undergrad, he volunteered at many organizations such as MDA and Spcecial Olympics. He also obtained many hours shadowing Physical Therapist in a wide range of settings. He worked as an Activity Based Technician at Frazier Rehab Institute in the Spinal Cord Outpatient clinic where he was able to learn treatment strategies with neurological patients. He was mentored under the NRN (Neurorecovery Network) who is the leader in SCI research. The NRN taught him how to use body weight support in facilitation with Locomotor Treadmill Training for spinal cord injury patients. He also learned how to use NMES to aid in the recovery of these patient. He has aspirations to work a neuro speciality after graduation but also has interests in Sports/Orthopedics as well.
