Oscar Gallardo, PT, DPT, NCS graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biodynamics (1998) and earned his Master’s of Physical Therapy degree from Boston University (2003) and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences (2014 ) and is an APTA Neurologic Clinical Specialist since 2006. He is currently employed at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and has experience working in various rehabilitation services such as spinal cord injury, stroke, adult brain injury, and general neurology. He also holds an adjunct faculty position at University of Southern California Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy where he is co-director of the USC Fit Families Program, a pro-bono community wellness program. Dr. Gallardo previously served on the APTA Task Force on Physical Therapists’ Role in Prevention, Fitness, Wellness, and Disease Management (2013-2014), currently serves on the APTA Parkinson’s Disease Clinical Practice Guideline Task Force, and serves the profession through various other elected and appointed positions for the American Physical Therapy Association, California Physical Therapy Association, and the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy. Dr. Gallardo has experience lecturing and teaching on neurologic rehabilitation topics both locally and internationally.
