Tegeset Mackert received her basic nursing training in Evangelical Gesundheits und krankenschule in Heidelberg Germany in 2001 and was working in medsurg and community nursing until she moved to the USA. After moving to the USA in 2005, she started working in Med Star National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington DC in spinal cord and the orthopedic unit. She received her BSN form Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2015. She joined Kennedy Krieger Institute’s International Center for Spinal Cord Injury in 2018. She loves and enjoys being with patients and seeing the progress that they are making.
