Dr. Jason Freeman's clinical responsibilities include seeing consultations at a subacute rehabilitation facility, outpatient clinics, consults, and acting a department liaison within the hospital. Subacute responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with pain management, optimizing therapy, and disposition planning. Outpatient clinics included managing spasticity and baclofen pumps, wheelchair, MSK, and Brain Injury (including TBI). He created the consult service, a concussion clinic, and TBI clinic. Also worked with multiple services in the hospital on value based medicine and quality improvement projects. He has created a step-by-step approach to developing a program for Attending and resident Involvement in quality improvement and patient safety projects. With the new system, Rusk went from having no resident publications to 12 per year.
