Dr. Rabinowitz is an Institute Scientist at Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute and Research Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. A clinical neuropsychologist by training, Dr. Rabinowitz joined the team at MRRI after completing NIH-funded post-doctoral fellowships in neurotrauma, translational neuroscience and neurorehabilitation. She has been involved in TBI research since her graduate studies, serving as the coordinator of the Penn State University Sports Concussion Program. The principal focus of her research has been identifying risk factors for persistent dysfunction following mild TBI (mTBI). Since joining the research faculty at MRRI, she has started an independent program of research examining cognitive and emotional consequences of TBI across the spectrum of injury severity. She is currently involved in multiple research projects using mobile health technology to enhance the assessment and rehabilitation of brain injury sequelae.
