Joyce Williams is a licensed clinical social worker with a concentration in program development and programming. She has been in the field of social work for 12 years and has worked with the SCI/D Center at VA NJ Healthcare systems as the Spinal Cord Disorders Coordinator for the last 8 years. She has been successful in developing programs for SCI Caregivers, MS Caregivers and ALS Caregivers. She has served as Co-Investigators for a collaborative studies with Kessler Institute, specifically “Systematic Assessment of Caregiving Skill Performance by Individuals with Tetraplegia and Their Caregivers” and presently, “Spinal Cord Injury Veterans: Disability Benefits, Outcomes, and Healthcare Utilization Patterns, Department of Defense Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs, Spinal Cord Injury Program” with the goal of improving the quality of services and clinical care that is provided to veterans and their caregivers.
