Recent international recommendations state the need for initial rest of 24 to 48 hours after a concussion, followed by the introduction of light cognitive and physical sub-threshold activity. This symposium will present the methods and findings of three separate research studies that have used randomized controlled trials to explore the efficacy of prescribed activity and exercise in the form of active rehabilitation for individuals following concussion. This symposium is sponsored by the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine Mild TBI Task Force.
