Maria is a Swedish native, who graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy school from University of Lund, Sweden in 2003. She has experience with inpatient and outpatient pediatrics and cardiac rehabilitation, and the last few years mostly orthopedics. She has continuing education in Muscle Energy Techique (MET), kinesio taping and McKenzie method.
Maria has a passion for helping people to regain their optimum level of activity whether it is in active daily living or sports.
Maria chose to work for the Able Bionics USA program associated with Bridging Bionics Foundation in order to help people with mobility impairments stand up and walk, and to follow their progress as they regain strength, mobility and confidence. She wanted to be a part of changing lives for this population of the community.
Maria lives in Basalt, near Aspen, with her husband and two little boys. She enjoys being active in the beautiful outdoors, especially biking, running and skiing.
