Alison Cogan, PhD, OTR/L is currently a postdoctoral Polytrauma/TBI Advanced Fellow at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. She completed her master’s degree in occupational therapy and PhD in occupational science at the University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Cogan has studied disruptions in daily life that service members with chronic symptoms related to a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) event experience as well as occupational therapy practice with military mTBI patients. Her current study, Epidemiologic Profile of Combat Female Veterans (EPIC) is a secondary analysis of the National Veterans TBI Health Registry database, specifically on the outcome of community reintegration as measured by the Mayo-Portland Adaptability Inventory – Participation Index.
