Kathleen Lyons, ScD, OTR/L is a Scientist at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center with an appointment as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. She is also an investigator member of the Cancer Control Program of the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Lyons became an occupational therapist in 1993 and received her Doctor of Science degree in Therapeutic Studies from Boston University in 2003. Since graduating, she has worked on an interdisciplinary research team conducting studies in the areas of psycho-oncology and cancer rehabilitation. Dr. Lyons uses both qualitative and quantitative methodology to develop and test cancer rehabilitation interventions that directly target disability and foster full participation in meaningful activities.
