I am pleased to offer my expertise in neurodevelopmental assessment and outcome of young children at high risk for CP for this project. For the past 5 years I have provided comprehensive outpatient neuropsychological and neurodevelopmental assessments to diverse and complex child clinical populations of various ages with a broad spectrum of developmental, medical, and neurological disorders. I have particular expertise in working with complex early childhood (i.e., 0-5 years) populations. I have been trained as a fellow through the Maternal and Child Health Bureau Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) and am currently a supervising faculty on the MI-LEND program. Since starting with the University of Michigan, I have worked closely with several departments providing pre- and post-surgical neurodevelopmental evaluations for infants and toddlers, neurodevelopmental evaluations for toddlers through Michigan Medicine’s NICU follow-up clinic, as well as providing follow-up neurodevelopmental evaluations for those youngest patients discharged from our Inpatient Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. In addition to clinical work, I am involved in numerous scholarly activities and I have a strong knowledge base in research methods. While populations within research have varied, working with children who are extremely preterm and those with neurodevelopmental conditions have been an area of emphasis.
