Luke Stikeleather holds a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and post-graduate certificate in orthotics from Northwestern University in Chicago. His passion is helping children and adults with scoliosis and furthering treatment options and research in the scoliosis field, with a culmination of more than 30 years of clinical experience.
Luke is a Certified Orthotist, Founder and President of the National Scoliosis Center located in Fairfax, VA (USA) opened in 2015 and more recently expanding its services in Baltimore MD (USA). The National Scoliosis Center (NSC) is the only facility of its kind dedicated to helping children and adults with scoliosis as a centre of excellence serving patients from all over the country and across the world. NSC offers personalized services offered in-house, including custom-fabricated braces, Schroth physical therapy, Formetric topographical scanning, and ultra-low-dose 2D/3D X-rays using the EOS imaging system.
He actively participates in conferences, trainings and support groups and internationally recognized expert in the field of scoliosis. He is an Associate Fellow with the Scoliosis Research Society, a founding member and current President of the International Society on Scoliosis Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and Treatment (SOSORT). Luke was a member of the BRAIST Bracing Evaluation Committee. Luke has been featured in articles, books and news programs, some of which include: Washingtonian Magazine, WUSA9, Washington Business Journal, Spines: The Art of Scoliosis.
