Leanna W. Katz, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, received a Bachelor of Science in Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Science at the University of Michigan in 2010. She later received a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (January 2015) and a Doctor of Occupational Therapy (September 2016) from Boston University. She was a full-time staffperson on Brain Injury Program at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital for nearly 4 years, then transitioned to Massachusetts General Hospital. She currently works per diem at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
When not providing direct patient care, Leanna enjoys exploring advancements in the field through evidence-based research and quality improvement projects. She co-authored a chapter in the latest edition of Occupational Therapy Essentials for Clinical Practice, 3rd edition published in Spring 2017. She also co-authored an article published in Laryngoscope in 2016, which has been cited in Boston Magazine and Shape Magazine. She has presented her research at the AOTA annual conference and the ACRM annual conference and has been included in both oral and poster presentations at ASHA as well as various Otolaryngology Conferences and Meetings.
