Hina Garg completed her Bachelor of Physical Therapy (2008) from G.G.S. Indraprastha University India, Master of Science in Kinesiology (2010) from Texas A & M University and PhD in Rehabilitation Science (2015) from the University of Utah. She is a licensed physical therapist, neurologic clinical specialist, and passionately works to optimize function and quality of life in individuals with various neurologic conditions. Currently, she is an assistant professor in the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and teaches anatomy, research, biostatistics, evidence-based practice, neuroscience, neuro-rehab, and sociocultural interaction courses. Due to her past clinical experience and specializations in rehabilitation practices for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), she has established a MS physical therapy and wellness center at the Community Rehabilitation Clinic in Provo, Utah. Her research interests include factors affecting postural control, balance, fall-risk and patient-reported outcomes in people with MS and other chronic neurodegenerative conditions, and best practices to integrate cultural competency, inter-professional practice and evidence-based practice education within the physical therapy curriculum. She actively involves students and colleagues in research by providing them with guided opportunities towards funding, presentations and publications and serves dynamically on the APTA section of research membership committee, and the academy of neurological physical therapy balance and falls committee. In addition, she serves as the research chair on the Utah physical therapy association board.
