Michele Vita, PT, DPT, OCS, is currently Assistant Vice President of Ambulatory Operations at the MedStar National Rehabilitation Network, overseeing nine multi-service clinics in the Greater Washington area. Dr. Vita initiated the creation and accreditation of the MedStar Sports Medicine Physical Therapy Residency and has been the Program Director since 2014. She assumed the role as the PI of the KAROS study (this symposium presentation) following Dr. Hsieh’s departure from MedStar NRH.
Prior to joining the MedStar National Rehabilitation Network in 2008, Dr. Vita served 21 years in the United States Air Force. During which time she taught multiple courses on providing “Sports Medicine on the Battlefield”, was instrumental in designing the Army-Baylor Physical Therapy year long internship for Doctorate of Physical Therapy students at Wilford Hall Medical Center and was involved in several USAF sponsored research studies.
