Liz Inness is a physical therapist with extensive clinical experience in the area of neurorehabilitation which she carries into her research program. Liz’s work aims to integrate research and clinical knowledge to develop optimal assessments and interventions to promote safe, independent mobility and participation in exercise and physical activity along the continuum of recovery from stroke and brain injury. Liz currently provides leadership to the Mobility Innovations Centre at Toronto Rehab – UHN. The Centre was developed to deliberately partner clinicians and researchers in the patient care setting, provide a hub for knowledge exchange, and a platform to test and adapt new innovative practice within the context of ‘real’ practice setting and complex patients, which can them more immediately translate to practice.
