Maria Kajankova, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Department of Rehabilitation and Human Performance. Dr. Kajankova is a clinical neuropsychologist by training specializing in neuropsychological evaluations, cognitive remediation, and psychotherapy with patients experiencing a variety of neurological disorders including traumatic brain injury, stroke, movement disorders, and acquired brain injury. Dr. Kajankova received her PhD from Fordham University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center and her post-doctoral fellowship in rehabilitation research and clinical neuropsychology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai's Brain Injury Research Center. Her research focuses on qualitative research methods and topics related to pediatric brain injury and testing and developing interventions for individuals with TBI and their caregivers.
