Vanessa Monique Yanez, MS, OTR/L is an occupational therapist at City of Hope National Medical Center, a designated Comprehensive Cancer Center by the NCI and a founding member of the NCCN. As a clinician in oncology and a prior bone marrow transplant recipient herself, Ms. Yanez is dedicated to helping individuals live their best life after a cancer diagnosis. She has presented at the state and national level on relevant issues related to mental health and sexuality in cancer care. Her current work and research focuses on fatigue management, young adults (AYA) with cancer, psychosocial care and expanding the role of occupational therapy to address body image and sexual health in oncology as this continues to be a concern and unmet need for individuals across the cancer care continuum.
