Balance evaluation is a reliable tool to identify complex neurological function. Evaluation of balance is often based on using clinical scales/tests such as the Berg balance scale, Tinetti scales which are inherent to subjective bias. Instrumented-based assessments may serve as a biomarker for prescribing various balance rehabilitation exercises. This presentation will address the use of dynamic posturography assessment in Parkinson's disease, progressive supranuclear palsy, and multiple sclerosis. Results of studies addressing enhancement of anticipatory and compensatory postural control in MS, stroke and older adults will be presented. The results will guide to utilize innovative and evidence-based balance interventions strategies.
