In this session, we will describe the model used for interprofessional education (IPE) that has provided hands on learning experiences for students, centered around the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) competencies. As part of this educational process, we have created an interdisciplinary course for undergraduate and graduate students. We will also describe the implementation of a research project that aims to assess clients' health risk, patient knowledge, skills and confidence, using a Health Risk Assessment (HRA), and the Patient Activation Measure (PAM).
