Enhanced Recovery Stem Cell Transplant (ER-SCT) is an interdisciplinary program at our comprehensive cancer center designed to improve outcomes in patients receiving allogeneic SCT ages 65 or older. The objectives include identifying risk factors early and to improve functional status, nutrition, and quality of life in the peri-transplant period. The program involves evaluation and treatment by physical medicine and rehab, geriatric medicine, physical therapy, occupation therapy, clinical dietitian, and pharmacy. In this symposium, we will present the program development, program implementation, and preliminary outcomes of this quality improvement project.
