The purpose of this presentation is to review current and expanding literature related to attention, memory, and executive functioning treatments following traumatic brain injury. As increasing numbers of meta-analyses and systematic reviews emerge, so does evidence-based research supporting various intervention techniques. In this symposium, we review evidence and discuss critical appraisal of these therapeutic techniques as they relate to recovery for individuals with brain injury. We also highlight case studies in which these interventions may be useful and discuss critical application of this evidence in therapeutic settings.
