The use of technology in the elderly population has increased considerably. Additionally, limitations in insurance, number of sessions, and access to services have led researchers and clinicians to explore technology-based aphasia rehabilitation. While research shows promise in terms of the adaptation of technology in the aphasia population, the feasibility of people with aphasia (PWA) successfully using technology outside of the laboratory or clinic is not well understood. This roundtable will share Constant Therapy data on what user characteristics correlate with greater use of technology, and the enablers and barriers for PWA to access technology will be discussed.
