Recent evidence suggests that traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a chronic condition characterized by significant variability in the attendant level of disability. Also, studies have supported the efficacy and effectiveness of Resource Facilitation (RF) to reduce level of disability. Integrating self-management strategies into RF could significantly enhance the RF model. This symposium will first provide an overview of the evidence for RF. Secondly, we will describe a web-based self-management program that has been developed as part of a randomized controlled trial of RF. Last, we will provide preliminary data on feasibility, participant response and outcome.
