Post-stroke deficits in motor function and speech/language are commonly thought of as intractable in chronic stroke. New evidence from high-dose rehabilitation gaming suggests that high doses of therapy can benefit at least a subset of individuals. This symposium will demonstrate how two new rehabilitation gaming technologies can be used to standardize therapy for rehabilitation research, inform dose-response, and pioneer a new frontier in personalized rehabilitation. Practical strategies for how to best adopt this technology within rehabilitation practice will be discussed.
