To explore alterations on sexual activity and intimacy among survivors of an acquired brain injury and their partners. Taking a deeper look into their relations with changes in cognitive processing, physical function and emotional adjustment after their injury and how the rehabilitation team can address that delicate matter.

Learning Objectives:

Explore sexual activity and intimacy after acquired brain injury.
Assess various effects of motor and neuropsychological dysfunctions on sex after acquired brain injury.
Take medication effects into account regarding sexual function.
Explain alterations of the sociocultural role for ABI survivor and partner.
Address current knowledge on assessment, treatment, and management.
