Julie Hook, MBA, PhD, ABPP is a Research Associate Professor and NIH Toolbox Project Manager in the Department of Medical Social Sciences, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She is also a board certified in clinical neuropsychologist bythe American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). She began her career in psychology as an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Sciences at Rush Medical College where she was awarded grants from Rush and the American Cancer Society to assess chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment. Dr. Hook then transitioned to psychological test development by working at Psychological Assessment Resources (PAR) as both a Project Director and most recently as the Manger of Quality Assurance. Dr. Hook’s background also includes work at a human factors engineering firm, which gave her hands-on experience in UX design and incorporating cutting edge technologies into healthcare. As the Project Manager for the NIH Toolbox Product Manager, Dr. Hook manages audience research, implementation, marketing, and end-user support.
